Three Simple Steps to Change Your World

What if you could change your life? What if you could change the world? Too big? What if you could change your world? If you could do one thing better to accomplish that, would you do it?

The greatest followers that ever lived changed their worlds. The apostle Paul was a follower whose dedicated work changed the first century and helped turn the Roman Empire to Christianity. John Wesley is credited by historian Will Durant as the second most important person in saving 18th Century England from a bloody and destructive revolution. Even Jesus repeatedly said he was following his Father in his words and work.

Following Jesus or following your God-given dream is still the best way to change the world, or even your world!  So where do you start? Here are three simple steps:

1. Start by simply saying yes! Say yes to Jesus as your leader and make it a comprehensive yes! You can truly trust him! When you make that simple commitment something profound begins to happen. You gain a new focus and, with that focus, new energy! But yes is never enough. Plenty of people have said yes and stalled out right there!
2. After yes, feed your soul on encouraging and helpful words. We find these in our Bibles. He leads us and guides us through his Word. Where he leads, we follow. His Word is our ultimate guide! There is so much to reading the Bible that we cannot cover it all now but start anyway. We’ll get deeper into this later. But there is still one more thing you can do right now that will make all the difference in the world.
3. Talk to him. Tell him your fears and frustrations. Share your joys and victories. Ask for help and assurance. He loves you and will help you. Jesus is delighted that you are following!
